Pronounced "Ay-Grr" - meaning “sea” in Old Norse - our store is named after a giant associated with the ocean, known for being a friend of the gods who threw elaborate parties for them. Ironically, we survived the wrath of NY waters when Hurricane Sandy flooded DUMBO - and our store - shortly after opening in 2012.

We persevered since then as a motley crew of surfers and skaters, striving to provide a little oasis of cool in DUMBO. We sell surf and skate gear and apparel, but we also provide a place to hang for locals and groms, advice for beginners, and skate lessons for all-ages.

We also service-oriented, performing quick and affordable surfboard ding repairs and seasonal snowboard/ski tunings on site.
