Outdoor skate lessons for kids of all levels. Our classes involve small groups of 1-3 students with each instructor. Our team of skate instructors are all local skaters that are passionate about teaching kids how to skate. Classes are $40 per student for a one hour session and $75 per student for the two hour session. Pickup is available at Community Roots at $50 for an hour lesson and $90 for a two hour lesson.

Aegir can provide a skateboard and elbow / wrist / knee pads for initial Golconda Park lessons. Due to distance we will have limited availability for skateboards at St. Mary's playground. New students must have their own pads and helmets, the latter of which is required. If you need to borrow skate gear, please let us know in advance with your booking. If needed, we also sell kid's skateboards, helmets, and pads in the shop.

Golconda Skate Park is located at the corner of Gold and Nassau. 

St Mary’s Skate Park / Playground is located at 422 Smith St. in Carrol Gardens. 

FAQ

 

1) Our classes run weekly. You can purchase a single lesson or a 5 or 10 pack of lessons. Multi-pack lessons must be used consecutively.

 

2) Classes must be booked 12 hours in advance. Please don’t show up to a class without booking through us or the website. We will turn away any parents and students who drop-in.

 

3) Aegir skate instructors will wear face masks, carry hand sanitizer and we ask our students to do the same. We treat the safety of our instructors and students seriously.

 

4) All classes are drop off, but parents are also welcome to stay for the duration of the class if they prefer.

 

5) Our digital waiver must be filled at https://forms.gle/QbWdrRKeuYste8nY8 beforehand in order to participate. Please also make sure to provide us with information about your child in the notes of your order (name, experience level, and whether they have gear) so we can best prepare for their lesson.
