After School Skateboard Lessons
Outdoor skate lessons for kids of all levels. Our classes involve small groups of 1-3 students with each instructor. Our team of skate instructors are all local skaters that are passionate about teaching kids how to skate. Classes are $40 per student for a one hour session and $70 per student for the two hour session.
Aegir can provide a skateboard and elbow / wrist / knee pads for initial Golconda Park lessons. Due to distance we will have limited availability for skateboards at St. Mary's playground. New students must have their own pads and helmets, the latter of which is required. If you need to borrow skate gear, please let us know in advance with your booking. If needed, we also sell kid's skateboards, helmets, and pads in the shop.
We also offer school pickup from Community Roots Charter School, and can arrange for pickup with your local after school program. Contact us for details and program requirements.
Golconda Skate Park is located at the corner of Gold and Nassau.
St Mary’s Skate Park / Playground is located at 422 Smith St. in Carrol Gardens.
FAQ
1) Our classes run weekly. It is not required for parents to sign up for a 10 week commitment but we would prefer students attend each week (we also understand that may not be possible). You can purchase a single lesson or 5 and 10 pack of lessons. (Multi-pack lessons MUST be used within 6 months of purchase)
2) Classes must be booked 12 hours in advance. Please don’t show up to a class without booking through us or the website. We will turn away any parents and students who drop-in.
3) Aegir skate instructors will wear face masks, carry hand sanitizer, and we ask our students to do the same. We treat the safety of our instructors and students seriously.
4) Parents may drop off and pickup students or stay for lessons. For our indoor classes, we prefer parents drop off.
5) You can fill out a waiver in person or at https://forms.gle/QbWdrRKeuYste8nY8. Please also make sure to provide us with information about your child in the notes of your order (name, experience level, and whether they have gear) so we can best prepare for their lesson.
No Cancellations / Rescheduling
Our skate classes can only be booked a week in advance so we don't offer any cancellation, refunds or make-up classes. Our classes don't require parents to sign up for any monthly or semester-long commitment. Please book only the session(s) you can commit to. Once a class is paid for, the fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred for a future class.
